Relating to advertisements for bids for the erection,
improvement and repair of public buildings and works.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi do ordain as follows:
Section 1.- In the erection, iaprovemenit and repair of all
public buildings and works, in all street and sewer work, and
in furnishing any supplies or materials forn the same, when
the expenditure for the same exceeds the sum of / 0 8 %
dollars, the same shall be done by contract and shall be let
to the. lowest responsible bidder, after due notice.
Section 2.- All notice for bids for such,work shall be given
by publication of such notice for one week or more in a
weekly'newspaper published in the City, or by posting
written notices in thFee or more public places in the City,
for not less than three days previous to the meeting at which
the bids advertised for, are to be considered.

$ection 3.- In advertising for bids, the Board of Trustees
shall reserve the right to reject my or all bids.
Section 4.- This ordinance shall be published by printing and
posting in at least three public places in the City of Lodi.
Section Sc-sThis ordinance shall take effect and be in foroe
immediately upon its passage, approval and publioation.
Introduced, read and filed at a regular meeting May 6, 1907.
Passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi at an
adjourned regular meeting this day of Mayb 1907.
