It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or aorpmation to sell, offer for sale, or deliver, or to cause or permit to be sold, offered for sale or delivered within the City of Lodi, gasoline, unless such gasoline shall con- form to the standards and tests fixed and established in Section 2 hereof. Section 2. For the purposes of this ordinance, gasoline is defined as follows: A liquid petroleum produst whiah con- form to the following standards, tests and requirements: (a) It shall be free from water, and suspended matter. (b) extremely slight discoloration when submerged in the gasoline for three (51) hours at 122* I?. , the test being conducted in accordance with the American Society for Testing Naterials Standard P 130-27T. when tested in accordance with the American Society for Testing Naterials Standard D 86-27, using the low distilla- tion Thermometer. the thermometer shall not read more than 22Z0f. thermometer shall not read more than 284*F. the thermometer shall not read more thsn 392V. in the receiver from the distillation. Section 3. The Division of Weights and IvIeasures of the Department of Agriculture of the State of California is hgrqby authorixed and empowered to take such sample or samples, a6 he may deem-necessary, of any gasoline kept, stored, transported or sold within the City Of Lodi. If Section 5. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to refuse to permit, or to in any manner inter- fere with the Division of Weights and ldeasures of the De- partment of Agrioulture of the State of California, or any person duly authorised by it to teke such sample or samples as provided in Section 3 hereof. Section 6. 5ny person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprksonment for a period of not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person, firm or corporation shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each day during any portims of whioh any violation of any provision of this ordinance is committed, continued or permitted by such person, firm or corporation, and shall be punished therefor as provided in this ordinance. Section 7.
