me Common Council of the City of bdi do ordain ae follows:
1. mere is hereby granted unto the Central Pacific Railway
Company, a corporation, its lessees, successors and assigns, the right,
privilege and franchise to construct, reconstruct, maintain and operate a
railroad side track of standard gauge and to pass with and operate
locomotivee, prbpelled by steam, electricity or any other lawful motive
power, and to run trains and cars thereon and %hereover and to marry
freight and passengers for hire upon and over said railroad track,, to-
gether with the necessary appurtenances, appendages, mechanical appli-
ances and equipment for the same in, upon and aoross those certain
streets in said City of Lodi,County of San Jbaquin, State of California,
hereinafter referred to , and in the locations more particularly described
as follows, to-wit :

BEG- at a point in the southerly line of Oak Street produced westerly, distant thereoa 125 feet from the westerly
line of &in Street, as streets are shown on the official map of the. City of Lodi (formerly the Town of Kokelumne) dated
August 2.5, 1869, and filed for record in Volume 2 of Maps,
Page 12, in the office of the County Recorder, County of San
Joaquia, State of California; thence northerly pt distance of
80 feet to a point irm the fiortherly line of Oak Street produced westerly didtsmt thereon U.5 feet from the westerly line of Xain Streets

line of Eain Street, as said streets are shown on the official
map of the City of Lodi (formerly the Town of Bllokelumne) dated
August 25, 1869, and filed for record in Voluame 2 of BBaps, page
12, in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Jaaquin, State of California; thence northerly a distance of 80 fee⬠to a point in the northerly line of Pine Street produced westerly,
distant thereon 125 feet from the westerly line of BBaitr Street.

all, time8 keep and maintain the said track acroes said streets at the
same grade as the surface of the said streets, and flushwith the

"streets between the rails of said track and for a distance of two (2)
feet outside of said rails in accordance with the specifications and
