BE IT cwDAINEa3 BY THE CITY CUJhCIL as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the Lodi Municipal, entitled ttOffenses -
Miscellaneoustt, Article I, is hereby amended to add a new section
relating to the prohibition of the sale of fireworks, as an emergency
ordinance, effective the date of this ordinance, as follows:
ttSect ion . It shall be a misdemeanor for
any person to sell and/or offer for sale, any
firecrackers, firerockets, rm candles, chasers
or other fireworks of any nature or kind, within
the City.tt
Section 2. The foregoing Ordinance No. 1326 was introduced and
adopted as an urgency Ordinance due to the need to avoid personal
injuries and property damage due to the sale andlor discharge of
fireworks within the City of Lodi. The present Lodi Municipal Code
provides a prohibition for the discharge of fireworks, but does not
prohibit the sale of same.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one time in the IILodi
News Sentinelt1, a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and
published in the City of Lodi.
