HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 1262ORDINANCE NO. 1262 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI AMENDING ARTICLE V (STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING) OF CHAPTER 14 (MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC) OF THE LODI CITY CODE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Lodi as follows: Section 1. - Article V (Stopping, Standing and Parking) of Chapter 14 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic) of the Lodi City Code is hereby amended by adding a new Section to read as follows: It Section . Standing or Parking Restrictions. a) The City Council, by resolution, shall designate standing or parking restrictions within the City of Lodi, and the city engineer shall be authorized to erect signs, or curb markings in areas so designated by resolution of the City Council of the City of Lodi. b) No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle on any of the streets designated by resolution as streets upon which parking is restricted, for a length of time greater than that set out in any such resolution and indicated on such signs or curb markings. It Section 2. - All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may exist. Section 3. - This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi Life and Times", a twice weekly newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall be in force and take effect thirty days from and after its passage and approval. 1262 -1- Approved this 2nd day of June, 1982 Attest: ALICE Lhd M.
