Woodlake Little League Proposal
Potential Issues
September 9, 1997
1. Joint Use of Facility Concerns:
• City displacement from Woodbridge Middle School
• Woodbridge Middle School out of rotation for field resting
• Present and future impacts on other fields due to potential program
expansion
• Limited use of facility by City for soccer and other sports programs
• Past and current cooperation of City and LUSD for joint use of facilities for
school and recreation sports programs
2. Program Concerns:
• Question of whether or not there is a need for a Little League Program
• Demand for Board members and volunteers
• Diluting sponsorships
• Recruiting coaches
• Fundraising efforts
• Potential confusion regarding registration/tryouts between the two
programs
• Potential problem of players "jumping" from one program to the other
• B.O.B.S. tradition for over 37 years

July 24, 1996 Lincoln School topic introduced at Lodi 2x2; issue defined
October 30, 1996 Staff presentation of a proposal to the Lodi 2x2; objective defined
Satisfactorily "clean up" the corner of Pine and Cherokee and mitigate potential hazards.
District Parameters
• Adult School stays at the site
• Minimal or no cost to Adult School for land rise changes
• District retains ownership of Cherokee Lane proiitage
First Proposal.
• LUSD sells portion of Oak Street frontage
• City buys property with grant ftinds and creates 3 to 5 residential lots
• City sells lots to Habitat for Humanity
• LUSD uses proceeds to move existing portables demolish Old building
• City develops plan for a park on demolished area
• City coordinates park development with 1 -USD and OKI& dubs
• City finances park construction (grant funds) -. LUSD owns land
• City maintains park area; LUSD maintains 'remaining crhool area
