Ordinance No. 12.
Relating to claims against the City.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi do
follows:

Section 1.- Any person having a claim against the City of
Lodi, except for a salary fixed by ordknance, must present
a detailed statement of such claim, verified by his oath
before thecity Clerk, or other officer authorized to
administer oaths, which statement must be filed with the
Clerk at least twenty-four hours before the meeting of the
Board of Trustees at which such claim is to be heard.
Section 2.- Claims against the City of Lodi shall be con-
sidered and allowed only at the first regular meeting in
every month.
Section 3.- No demand or claim against the City shall be
paid until after it has been presented to and audited by
the Board of Trustees.
Section 4.- All demands, when audited and allowed, and all
salaries, shall be paid by a warrant on the City Treasurer
signed by the President of the Board of Trustees and
countersigned by the City Clerk.
Section 6.- This ordinance shall be published by,,pogting
the same in three public places-in the City of Lodi.
Section 6.- This ordinance ahall take effect immediately
on approval and publication.
Section 7.- Ali ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
