An ordinance regulating the Appointment and Compensation
and Duties of Recorder.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi do ordain as
follows:
Section 1.- The Board of Trustees shall at their first
regular monthly meeting in the month of
in every even numbered year appoint a Recorder who shall
be a resident or a householder at the time of such appoint-
ment, and an elector in said city. The Recorder shall
hold office for the period of two years, or until
his successor is appointed and qualifies, and he shall
keep such books as axe-required by law td be kept by a
Justice of the Peace, and shall receive as compensation in
civil cases the same fees as are or may be allowed by the
law of the State of California to Justices of the Peace,
and for full compensation for all services in criminal
cases the sum of $10.00 per month.
LJL f Section 2.- This ordinance shall be published by,,pos&hg
the same in three public plae s in the City of Lodi.
Section 3.- This ordinance shall take effect immediately
on approval and publication.
Section 4.- All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
