HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 10831 I. k ORDINANCE NO. 1083 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13 OF ORDINANCE 444, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT THEREWITH, AND ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE CONVERSION POLICY. The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: Section 1. include Subsection (e) which shall read in full as follows: Section 13 of Ordinance 444 is hereby amended to For all unused sick leave, an employee with ten years of employment with the City shall receive medical insurance coverage upon retirement (but not upon resignation or termi- nation) on the following basis: After ten years of employment by the City, 50% of the employee's unused sick leave shall be converted to months of medical insurance at the rate of one monthls premium for employee and dependent coverage for each day of unused sick leave as adjusted herein. Said premium shall be the same as the premium then being paid by the City for such coverage for the employee and his dependents. For each year that an employee has been employed by the City in excess of ten years, the employee shall be entitled to add 2- If270 to the 50% before converting the unused sick leave to months of insurance. Section 2. of July 1, l976., The provisions of this ordinance shall be effective as Section 3. with are repealed insofar as such conflict may exist. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- Section 4. This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi News-Sentinel", a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall be in force and take effect thirty days from and after its passage and approval.
