AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23- 13 OF THE
CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF LODI REGARDING
TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY - IMPOSITION GENERALLY
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as
follows :
Section 1. Section 23- 13 entitled "Imposition Generally'' of
Article I11 - Transient Occupancy Tax, of the City Code
of the City of Lodi is hereby amended to read in full as
follows :
For the privilege of occupancy in any hotel, each transient
is subject to and shall pay a tax in the amount of six percent of
the rent charged by the operator. Such tax constitutes a debt
owed by the transient to the city which is extinguished only by
payment to the operator or to the city.

and shall be in force and take effect thirty days from
