AN ORDINANCE; AMENDING SECTION 27- 13 OF THE CITY CODE
OF THE CITY OF LODI REGARDING OFF-STREET PARKING
REQUIJLEMENT~ FOR INDUSTRIAL USES.
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows:
Section 1, Chapter 27- 13 entitled "General Provisions and Exceptions''
is hereby amended with subsection (b) - 12 to read as follows:
Section (b) 12 - Off-Street Parking requirements for Manufacturing and
Warehouse use shall be as follows:
(i) MANUFACTURING: 1 off-street parking space per 750 square feet
of building area or 2 spaces per 3 employees; whichever is greater.
(ii) WAREHOUSING: 1 off-street parking space per 750 square feet up

to 50,000 squard feet of building area and 1 space per 1000 square feet

for uses exceeding 50,000 square feet of building area, or 2 spaces per
3 employees, wqichever is greater.
When the required number of off-street parking places based on the
number of employees is less than one-half (50%) of the off-street
parking requirement based on the total square footage of building area:
Then, the numbe/r of off-street parking places based on building area
minus 160% of thie number of off-street parking places based on the
number of emplolyees, may be reserved for future parking needs and

used as a paved bpen storage area.
All space shall b/e on the same lot or within five hundred feet thereof.

In addition, each' building shall provide loading areas sufficient for its
purpose, complebely off- street.
Section 2. All Okdinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed insofar as such conflict may exist.
Section 3.
News-Sentinel", ~ a daily newspaper of general circulation printed
and published in the City of Lodi and shall be in force and take effect
thirty days from and after its passage and approval.
This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi

of the City Council of the City of Lodi held September 3, 1975 and was
thereafter passed, adopted and ordered to print at a regular meeting

Ayes: Councilmen - Ehrhardt, Hughes, Katnich, Pinkerton
and Schaffer
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - None
