HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - No. 1348ORDINANCE NO. 1348 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1321 OF THE CITY OF LODI AND ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES FOR THE SALE OF ELECTRIC ENERGY BY THE CITY OF LODI The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 1321 entitled, ttAn Ordinance Repealing Ordinance No. 1250 of the City of Lodi and Enacting a New Ordinance Establishing Rates for the Sale of Electric Energy by the City of Lodill is hereby repealed as of the effective date of this ordinance. SECTION 2. The sale of electric energy by the City of Lodi shall be the rates hereinafter set forth. _________ --------- d SECTION 3. Schedule EA - Domestic Service - See schedule attached --------- hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and thereby made a part hereof. Section 4. Schedule EB - General Service - See schedule attached hereto, marked Exhibit "B" and thereby made apart hereof. Section 5. Schedule EL - Outdoor Dusk-to-Dawn L schedule attached hereto, marked Exhibit "C", and t part hereof. Section 6. Schedule EM - Domestic Service - Mobile Home Parks - See schedule attached hereto, marked Exhibit "D", and thereby made a part hereof. Section 7. Schedule EP - Energy Purchase - See schedule attached hereto, marked Exhibit "E", and thereby made a part hereof. Section 8. Schedule S - General Service - Demand Metered - See schedule attached hereto, marked Exhibit IfFTf, and thereby made a part hereof. Section 9. The foregoing Ordinance No. 1348 was introduced and adopted as an Urgency Ordinance by a unanimous vote of the City Council in a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Lodi held the 20th day of February, 1985, and shall be in force and take effect with utility bills prepared on or after March 1, 1985. Section 10. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may exist. -_------- _________ --------_ --__----- --_------ --------_. ---------- -1- Section 11. Stein City Attorney -2- City of Lodi Lodi, California J SCHEDULE FA Canceling Ordinance No. 1321 I RELJXBILITY: The City will endeavor at all times to provide a regular and uninterrupted supply of service, but in case the supply of service shall be interrupted OK irregular or defective or fail from causes beyond its control or through ordinary negligence of employees, servants or agents, the City will not be liable. SPECIAL CONDITIONS: (a) When a business or commercial establishment is conducted in conjunction with a residence and both are measured through one meter, this rate does not apply. (b) Service on this schedule will be supplied at the single-phase secondary voltage available - either 120/240 or 120/208 volts. City of Lodi Lodi, California Canceling Ordinance No. 1321 SCHEDULE EB GENERAL SERVICE APPLICABILITY: General service is applicable to single-phase or polyphase alternating current service, or to a combination thereof. RELIABILITY: The City will en.deavor at all times to provide a regular and uninterrupted supply of service, but in case the supply of service shall be interrupted or irregular or defective or fail from causes beyond its control or through ordinary negligence of employees, servants or agents, the City will not be liable. RATES: Single-Phase Service: Customer Charge: ..................... Energy Charge (to be added to Customer Charge): All kwhr, per kwhr .................. Polyphase Service: The single-phase rate plus $1.20 per meter per month. Minimum Charge: Per Meter Per Month $1.65 - .07253 $2.85 per month, but not less than $.90 per month per kva of connected welder load and per horsepower of polyphase connected motor load. City of Lodi Lodi, California Canceling Ordinance No. 1321 SCHEDULE EL OUTDOOR DUSK-TO-DAWN LIGHTING ,PPLICABILITY: Outdoor dusk-to-dawn lighting is applicable, to City-owned and maintained outdoor werhead lighting service where street light service is not available. UTES:.A For each 6,000 lumen gas discharge lamp - $9.84 per month. For each 18,000 lumen gas discharge lamp - $18.00 per month. (ELIABILITY : The City will endeavor at all times to provide a regular and uninterrupted supply if service, but in case the supply of service shall be interrupted or irregular or lefective or fail from causes beyond its control OK through ordinary negligence of mployees, servants or agents, the City will not be liable. SCHEDULE EM DOMESTIC SERVICE - MOBILE HOME PARKS APPLICABILITY: Mobile home parks domestic service is applicable to domestic lighting, heating, cooking and power supplied to mobile home parks through a master-meter and sub-metered to all individual mobile home units. (The fuel cost adjustment amount is not subject to any adjustment for voltage or power factor.) (a) Maximum Demand: average power taken during the diversified resistance demand has exceeded 400 kw The maxim demand in any month will be the maximum any 15-minute interval in the month, but not less than welder load. However, when the recorded monthly maximum for three consecutive months and thereafter until it has fallen below 300 kw for twelve consecutive months, a 30-minute interval may be used. In cases where the use of energy is intermittent or subject to violent fhctuations, a 5-minute interval may be used. A thermal type of demand meter which does not reset after a definite time interval may be used. (f) Power Factor: When the billing demand has exceeded 400 kw for three con- secutive months and thereafter until it has fallen below 300 kw for twelve consecutiv months, bills will be adjusted for weighted monthly average power factor as follows: The total charge (except the minimum charge) for any month as cmputed on the above rates will be decreased or increased, respectively, by 0.1% for each 1% that the average parer factor of customer's load in the month was greater or less than 65%, such average power factor to be computed (to the nearest whole per cent) from the ratio of lagging kilovolt ampere hours to kilowatt hours consumed in the month. (9) Schedule Availability: Rate I is available only for loads of less than 1,500 kw. Both Rates I and I1 are available only on an annual basis.
