SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

A. Call to Order / Roll Call
The Special City Council meeting of February 21, 2017, was called to order by Mayor Kuehne at
7:01 a.m.
Present: Council Member Chandler, Mayor Pro Tempore Nakanishi, and Mayor Kuehne
Absent: Council Member Johnson, and Council Member Mounce
Also Present: City Manager Schwabauer, Deputy City Attorney Fukasawa, and City Clerk

B. Regular Calendar
B-1 Adopt Resolution Authorizing City Manager to Execute Professional Services Agreement
with Garland DBS, Inc., of Cleveland, Ohio, for Hutchins Street Square Metal Roof
Replacement 2017 ($49,899), and Appropriating Funds ($50,000) (PW)
Public Works Director Charlie Swimley provided a brief presentation regarding the Hutchins
Street Square Metal Roof Replacement 2017 Project, explaining that the metal roof above Kirst
Hall is leaking and will likely cause significant damage inside the building if not replaced.
Council Member Chandler made a motion, second by Mayor Pro Tempore Nakanishi, to adopt
Resolution No. 2017-24 authorizing the City Manager to execute a Professional Services
Agreement with Garland DBS, Inc., of Cleveland, Ohio, for Hutchins Street Square Metal Roof
Replacement 2017, in the amount of $49,899, and appropriating funds in the amount of $50,000.
VOTE:
The above motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Council Member Chandler, Mayor Pro Tempore Nakanishi, and Mayor Kuehne
Noes: None
Absent: Council Member Johnson, and Council Member Mounce
C. Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was adjourned at
7:02 a.m.
