AGENDA TITLE: Acceptance of Improvements Under Contract for Peterson Park Improvements,
199 Evergreen Drive
MEETING DATE: May 6, 1998
PREPARED BY: Public Works Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the
"Peterson Park Improvements, 199 Evergreen Drive" contract and
direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the
County Recorder's office.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to A. M. Stephens Construction Company,
Inc., of Lodi, on January 15, 1997, in the amount of $653,036.93.
The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with
the plans and specifications approved by the City Council.
The contract completion date was March 30, 1998, and the actual completion date was March 30, 1998.
The final contract price was $717,491.32. The difference between the contract amount and the final
contract price is mainly due to upgrades to the irrigation system and the playground equipment, the
addition of a shade structure, and other miscellaneous items.
FUNDING: Primarily Parks Impact Mitigation Fee Fund, supplemented by Parks CIP, as determined at
contract award.
