HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - April 1, 1998 (61)AGENDA TITLE: Acceptance of Improvements Under Contract for Kofu Park Handicap Accessibility Improvements, 1145 South Ham Lane MEETING DATE: April 1, 1998 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the handicap accessibility improvements under the "Kofu Park Concrete Ramp, 1145 South Ham Lane" contract and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to K & D Enterprises, Inc., of Ceres, in the amount of $5,761.61. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was January 16, 1998, and the actual completion date was December 17, 1997. The final contract price was $6,562.41. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to additional work done so the new handicap ramp would fit the existing improvements better.
