The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi met in regular
session at 8.20 P.P. Trustees Hale, Mettler, Roach, Shattuck
and Spooner present,
iinutes of the adjourned meeting Were read, approved as
read and so endorsed by the President
Reports of the Poundmastzr and Fire Chief were read and
ordered filed.
A letter from the Exchange Club thanking the B^,ard for
the donation of $50.00 made Iay 19th, received and read.
After checking the plans and specifications as submit-
ted for the neer fire house, the same Fere adopted by the fol-
lowing :
RESOLUTION ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADV7ERTISM01T FOR SCALED
PRC OSALS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A FIRE HOUSE.
RESOLVED: that the plans and specifications for the con-
struction of a fire house in Yaple Square asrepared by arch-
itect J. F. 'Watson and by him this day submitted, be and the
same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specif-
ications for the erection of said building;
BE IT ALSO RES0rVED: that the Clerk be authorized and he
is hereby directed to advertise in time f orm and manner as by
law required for the reception of sealed proposals for the con-
struction of said building the said proposals to be received
and publicly opened on Ltonaay, June 23rd., 1924 at 8,15 P.E.
AYES: Trustees, Shattuck,L'ettler,Eale,Roach,S,00ner.
Bills as audited, amounting $11,911:81, were allowed and
ordered paid on motion of Trustee }settler, seconded by Trustee
Shattuck;
At the order of the President, none dissenting, the Clerk
was directed to write a le" -ter to 'William Baker, stating that
the canal company objected to the City furnishing :rater to
their customers and advising him that he should take the natter
up with the company.
The bills -of the Western States Gas & Electric Company
for power at the sewage disposal plant having been dis-allow-
ed by the auditing committee on reco=—endation of Supt. Henning,
the Board indulged in a general discussion of the same; decid-
ing that the matter be made the subject of further correspond-
ence with the State Railroad Co*r.ission before a formal request
for hearing -:+as filed.

No further business appearing, the Board adjourned to
the day and hour of their next revlar meeting on motion of
Trustee Hale.
