HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - April 15, 1998 (53)AGENDA TITLE: Acceptance of Improvements Under Contract for Asphalt Concrete Overlay, Slurry Seal and Striping for Hutchins Street, Kettleman Lane to Harney Lane MEETING DATE: April 15, 1998 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Asphalt Concrete Overlay, Slurry Seal and Striping for Hutchins Street, Kettleman Lane to Harney Lane" contract and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Teichert Construction, of Stockton, on August 20, 1997, in the amount of $161,883.04. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was December 1, 1997, and the actual completion date was October 29, 1997; however, the acceptance has been delayed due to discussions with the contractor over final quantities and change orders. The final contract price was $161,882.94 and includes change orders and final quantities. FUNDING: As determined at contract award. �aj C) 4V Richard C.
