SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
CARNEGIE FORUM, 305 WEST PINE STREET
THURSDAY, MAY 13, 2010
A. Roll call
The Special Joint meeting of the City Council and Lodi Arts Commission of May 13, 2010, held at
the Hutchins Street Square, 125 South Hutchins Street, Lodi, was called to order at 5:45 p.m.
Present: Council Member Johnson, and Mayor Hansen
Absent: Council Member Hitchcock, Mayor Pro Tempore Katzakian, and Council Member
Mounce
Also Present: Interim City Manager Bartlam, and City Clerk Johl
Also in attendance from the Lodi Arts Commission were the following: Mark Hamilton, Margie
Lawson, Nancy Carey, Ben Burgess, and Cathy Metcalf.
B. Topic(s)
B-1 Discussion of Items of Mutual Concern
Topics of general discussion included the Sidewalk Mosaic Project, design contest, samples of
winning drawings, People's Choice Award, sponsorship for the project, fundraising, workshops for
the community, unveiling and media exposure for the project, project budget, groundbreaking for
the Lodi Avenue Improvement project, possible new projects, First Friday Art Hops, Art on the
Square, Art in Public Places, Arbor Day at Lawrence School, program grants, art class
scholarships, poetry reading, Artisan Masters, and ongoing support of the arts program.
C. Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was adjourned at
7:00 p.m.
