CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION
AGENDA TITLE: Presentation by the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission
Regarding Honoring Teens program.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Presentation.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission, in
conjunction with the Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club and Christopher J. Olsen, American
Express Financial Advisors, is sponsoring a program entitled Honoring Teens. The Lodi
Youth Commission Leadership Committee selects one teen to be awarded Teen of the
Month from the applications submitted to the commission from the general public,
various schools, and church groups. This month's Teen of the Month is Suzanne
Radotic from Tokay High School and the Honorary Teen of the Month is Darin
Guillot from Liberty High.

April Teen of the Month
Suzanne Radotic is a senior at Tokay High School. She has been a very positive
influence and leader in Tokay's student government. Her initiative and hard work has
established a grading policy and assisted to revise the schools constitution. These
projects took many hours outside of the class. Suzanne has bee an outstanding
representative to the Lodi Youth Commission and has been the student chairperson of the
Women's Flag Football Charity Tournament with LUSD and the Lodi Youth
Commission for the past two years.
April Honorary Teen on the Month
Darin Guillot is an outstanding student at Liberty High and is currently a junior. He
participated in job shadowing in Marine Biology, the Lodi Youth Conference and was a
Science Camp Counselor for the San Joaquin County Science Camp program. Darin also
works part time in Lodi.
