HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - May 23, 1995 SSCITY OF LODI INFORMAL INFORMATIONAL MEETING "SHIRTSLEEVE" SESSION CARNEGIE FORUM, 305 WEST PINE STREET TUESDAY, MAY 23, 1995 An Informal Informational Meeting ("Shirtsleeve" Session) of the Lodi City Council was held Tuesday, May 23, 1995 commencing at 7:00 a.m. Present: Council Members - Davenport (arrived at approximately 7:17 am), Pennino, Sieglock (arrived at approximately 7:06 am), Warner and Mann (Mayor) Absent: Council Members - None Also Present: City Manager Peterson, Assistant City Manager Glenn, Police Chief Hansen, Assistant Planner VeerKamp, Community Development Director Schroeder, Finance Director Flynn, Deputy City Attorney Luebberke, City Attorney McNatt and Acting City Clerk Taylor Present in the audience was a representative of the Lodi News Sentinel and The Record. T PO IC(S) 1. Proposed Hotel Lodi Project 2. Closed Session a) United Firefighters of Lodi (UFL) .Negotiator. Assistant City Manager Jerry L. Glenn b) Discussion Regarding City Attorney Recruitment C) Police 12 -Hour Work Schedule No City Attorney McNatt, during open session, requested Council emergency action regarding an additional item be added and discussed during the closed session portion of the agenda, stating the item was a police issue which required immediate attention, and that Police Chief Hansen would be out of town for the next two weeks and unavailable to meet with Council. Council, on motion of Council Member Sieglock, Pennino second, approved addition of the closed session item entitled, "Police 12-HdVr Work Schedule", by the following vote: Ayes: Council Members - Pennino, Sieglock, Warner and Mann (Mayor) Noes: Council Members - Davenport Absent: Council Members - None Return to Open Session / Disclosure of Action a) No final action was taken on these matters. May 23,1445 Continued ADJOURNMENT No action was taken by the City Council. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:30 a.m. ATTEST: minutcs.doc
