HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - February 10, 1998 SS153 CITY OF LODI INFORMAL INFORMATIONAL MEETING "SHIRTSLEEVE" SESSION _ CARNEGIE FORUM, 305 WEST PINE STREET TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 1998 An Informal Informational Meeting ("Shirtsleeve" Session) of the Lodi City Council was held Tuesday, February 10, 1998 commencing at 7:00 a.m. ROLL CALL Present: Council Members - Land, Mann, Pennino (arrived at 7:05 a.m.) and Sieglock (Mayor) Note: wamerms6ried on mIgs Absent: Council Members - None Also Present: City Manager Flynn, Deputy City Manager Keeter, Community Center Director Lange, Electric Utility Director Vallow, City Attorney Hays and City Clerk Reimche Present in the audience was a representative of the Lodi News Sentinel. TOPIC(S) 1. City Council Calendar Update 2. Transmission Line and Electric Utility Update Council Member Pennino abstained from discussion on this matter and left the Council table. i 3. Report on Tourism by Community Center Director Charlene Lange Presentations were made by Ms. Lange, Mike Bennett with the San Joaquin County Historical Museum and Mark Chandler with the Lodi -Woodbridge Winegrape Commission. 4. Adjourned to Special Meeting at 8:03 a.m. and reconvened Shirtsleeve Session at approximately 8:25 to discuss the following Closed Sessions. 5. Closed Session a) Conference with labor negotiator, Human Resources Director Joanne Narloch, regarding International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) pursuant to Government Code §54957.6 - This item was not discussed b) Threatened Litigation - Government Code §54956.9(b). One Case. Potential suit by State of California against the City of Lodi based on alleged groundwater contamination by PCE/TCE c) Actual Litigation - Government Code §54956.9(a). Henry Howard v. City of Lodi et al., San Joaquin County Superior Court No. 002379 - This item was not discussed 6. Return to Open Session / Disclosure of Action No final action taken in these matters. 154 Continued February 10, 1998 ADJOURNMENT No action was taken by the City Council.
