ADJOURNED SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
CARNEGIE FORUM, 305 WEST PINE STREET
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2001
A. ROLL CALL
The Special City Council meeting of February 6, 2001 was adjourned to Wednesday, February
7, 2001 and was called to order by Mayor Pro Tempore Pennino at 10:07 p.m.
Present: Council Members — Hitchcock, Howard, Land, and Pennino
Absent: Council Members — Mayor Nakanishi
Also Present: City Manager Flynn, Deputy City Attorney Schwabauer, and City Clerk Blackston
NOTE: Mayor Nakanishi was absent from the meeting due to City business while attending the
American Public Power Association (APPA) Legislative Rally in Washington D.C.
B. CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Pro Tempore Pennino adjourned the City Council meeting at 10:07 p.m. to a Closed
Session to discuss the following matter:

Conference with labor negotiator — Government Code §54957.6 Agency Negotiator;
Dixon Flynn and Joanne Narloch: health insurance coverage provided to all
employee organizations
C. RETURN TO OPEN SESSION / DISCLOSURE OF ACTION
The City Council meeting reconvened at 11:19 p.m., and the following action was disclosed:
Deputy City Attorney Schwabauer announced that the City Council, on motion of Mayor Pro
Tempore Pennino, Hitchcock second, adopted Resolutions Nos. 2001-31 and 2001-32 authorizing
the City of Lodi to participate in the CALPERS Health Benefit Plan for all currently available HMO
carriers in California for full-time and qualified part-time employees, retirees, and survivors.
Ayes: Council Members — Hitchcock, Howard, Land and Mayor Pro Tempore Pennino
Noes: Council Members — None
Absent: Council Members — Mayor Nakanishi
D. COMMENTS BY THE PUBLIC ON NON -AGENDA ITEMS
None.
E. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was adjourned at
11:20 p.m.
