HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - December 13, 1909Public Hall, Lodi California, Dec. 13, 1909 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant to adjournment of Dec. 6, 1909, President G. E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present; F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger Absent: J. M. Blodgett The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The following Applications for Building Permits and granted: E. A. Spiekerman, Addition to dwelling on W. Locust St. F. P. Roper, Dwelling in W. Lodi Lodi Mill & Mfg. Co., Lumber shed on Lots 2 & 3 of block 23 In re: the matter of the application of Russill Bros. for a Saloon License: No report of the Committee of the Whole having been made not action was taken. The matter of the crossing of Oak St. at the corner of Sac. St. was taken up It was moved, seconded and carried that the Clerk be instructed to order 2 carloads of 3/4" crushed rock at once. So ordered. Clerk asked to request the Central California Traction Co. To run their car about 4 feet further north at the P. O. corner so as to clear the cross walk. It was moved and seconded that the City Clerk be authorized to write to Road Master Burgess of S. P. Co. asking the Co. to furnish 2 cars of gravel for the improvement of Oak St. between Sacramento St. and the Railroad Track, stating that the City would place the gravel in place. Mrs. Addine M. Beckman made an application for permission to construct a concrete sidewalk in front of her property on School St. at #121 S. School St. in conformity with the sidewalk of G. W. Hill, viz.: beginning 18" from property line and extending out 6 feet. The application was on motion granted: Mrs. Addine M Beckman, Mrs. A. McNeil, Mrs. M. Dunde and R. L. Graham asked permission to construct concrete sidewalks on the N. side of Walnut St. from School to Church St. as follows: beginning 18" from the property line and extending out 5 feet.
