The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi met in adjourned regular session, pursuant to
adjournment of Oct. 4, 1909, the following members of the Board being present:
J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, and L. Villinger
Absent: G. E. Lawrence and C. A. Rich
F. O. Hale was chosen President Pro. Tem
The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted:
Ferguson & Babel, remodeling of Bldg. at #14 N. Sac. St.
J. W. Brier, 66 66 ", Lot 1 of Block 20
C. G. Morris, removal of Bldg from Lot 6 Block 1 to Lot 4 Block 1 W. Lodi
The Claims of Lodi Sentinel of $45, having been reduced to $40.25 was allowed and
ordered paid.
A petition of residents of the Barnhart Tract, claiming that the odors from West Winery
was offensive and asking that the Nuisance be abated, was read and referred to the Board
of Health.
A number of merchants appeared before the Board and protested against street followers
and peddlers on the streets. They suggested that the license for such be raised from $10
per quarter to $50 per day. The matter was referred to the City Attorney.
Ira Kepford appeared before the Board and asked that he be granted a fire permit to sell
oil and gasoline on account of physical infinity. The application was not granted.
No further business coming before the Board, the Board then adjourned.
