HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - August 16, 1909Public Hall, Lodi, California, Aug. 16, 1909 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular session, Pres. G. E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich, and L. Villinger The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The application of Mile McCann for permission to remodel a barn at 218 N. Stockton St. was read and granted. The application of Lodi Parlor, No. 18, N. S. G. W. for permission to have the bear on Mission Arch painted, was read and granted. It was moved and carried that the short street between Sacramento and School Streets near the National Gas Tank be called Spruce St. It was so ordered. The Report of the Board of Health on the matter of the J. K. Nay dairy reporting said dairy to be clean and sanitary, was read and filed. A report from the Board of Health making recommendations as to the gutter on Sac. St. between Pine and Oak St. regarding the disposition of the surplus water from the drinking fountain at the Arch was read referred to J. A. Graham for a report. J. R. Whitney and M. J. Froehnert spoke to the Board in regard to the Nay dairy, claiming said dairy to be a nuisance. The matter was ordered taken up with the City Attorney. It was moved, seconded and carried that the Board do now adjourn to meet Aug. 23,1909. Attest: C. M. McMahon City Clerk 224
