HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - June 7, 1909Lodi, California, June 7, 1909 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular session, President Geo. E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The reports of the City Marshal and the Pound Master for the month of May were read, approved and filed. The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted: McClung, L. E. Dwg. for S. A. Kelsey on Lot 28, Larson's Add. McClung, L. E. Apartment House for F. F. Dougherty in Lot 2, Block 13 Thompson, J. G., Dwg. Lot 20, Block 1, W. Lodi Voatberger, Jacob, Dwg. Lot 18, Block 3 Larsons Pine St. Add. Lucass, Jacob Jr., Dwg. for Mrs. Keller on Blk 10 Hutch. Add Henning, F. A., removal of Bldg from Blk 13 Add to Barnhart Tract Krumb, A. For May 35.50 Labor on Assess. Roll to May 31 60.00 if The claim of R. L. Graham & Co. for $21.25 for drugs was laid over one week to be OK'd by Dr. Colman. The claim of W. P. Grant of $5 for four palm trees was referred to the Library Trustees for approval. 206 A petition for a St. Light at the comer of Sacramento and Oak St. was presented by A. P. Krumb and others. It was moved, seconded and carried that a 32 c.p. St. Light be placed at the comer of Sacramento and Oak streets. Supervisor C. L. Newton made a proposition to the Board as follows: If the City would sprinkle Cherokee Lane as far as Kettleman Lane and Sargent Road as far as the Geffroy Place, he would bear half the expense of the four horse wagon. The proposition was not accepted as the Board felt that all of the time of both wagons could be used to better advantage inside the City. A proposition from the Burroughs Adding Machine Company was read and the opinion expressed that the City could not afford to buy a machine at this time. It was moved, seconded and carried that this Board do now adjourn to reconvene on Monday evening, June 14, 1909. Attest: J. M. McMahon City Clerk 207
