HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - April 19, 1909Public Hall, Lodi, California Apr. 19, 1909 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular session, President Geo. E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The resignation of Henrietta L. Keen as Library Trustee was read and upon motion regularly made and seconded the resignation was accepted. The following Application for Building Permits were read and granted: S. K. Marlen, Barn on Lot 18 of Block 1, Forests' Addition Henry Adams, Porch and Other Improvements to his Dwelling on So. School Street. F. F. Ivey, Permission to move a Dwelling into the City and onto Lot 4 of Block 43 in accordance with the directions of the St. Supt. A map of Plat of Subdivision of Block No. 11 of Lodi Barnhart Tract was offered by the owner, Aurosa M. Tower with an offer to dedicate the public streets, alleys, avenues and roadways thereon to the public forever. Upon motion regularly made, seconded and carried the dedication was accepted by the affirmation votes of J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger. Ordinance No. 38, entitled, "Ordinance No. 38 Relating to Streets; Defining Certain Teams as Officially Used; Fixing the Location of the Curb Line and Thereby the Width of the Roadway and Sidewalk Space, and Fixing the Width of the Sidewalk and Tree Space," having been read and introduced and laid on the Table for not less than five days on Apr. 12, 1909, was read and placed on passage. It was regularly moved and seconded that Ordinance No. 38 be adopted as read. The motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger. Noes: None. Absent: None It was moved, seconded and carried that this Board do now adjourn to reconvene on Monday evening, Apr. 26, 1909. Attest: J. M. McMahon City Clerk 198
