The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular session, President Geo. E.
Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: J. M.
Blodgett, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger.
Absent: F. 0. Hale
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Communications from the City Clerks of Etna Mills, Pacific Grove Wilmington, and
Ukiah were read and filed.
In re: the abandoning of parts of Woodbridge Ave.:
Judge G. M. Steele appeared on behalf of the petitioners and offered a resolution making
the final order of abandonment. It was moved that the Resolution be adopted as read.
The motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: J. M. Blodgett, C. A. Rich, and L. Villinger
Noes: None
Absent: F. 0. Hale
Rev. W. P. Grant handed the Board the deed to the lot for the Carnegie Library
accompanied by a Certificate of Search. The Board was not satisfied with a Certificate of
Search but desires an Abstract of Title. The Clerk was instructed to return the Certificate
of Search to the Chamber of Commerce and requested that they procure an Abstract of
Title.
The application of Heib & Markleen for permission to erect a tank house on Lot 7 of
Block 7, Handell's addition, was read and granted.
A petition asking the Board to have a street light placed at the corner of Church and
Walnut Streets was read on motion made and carried the petition was granted.
The Clerk was instructed to write Hon. J. W. Stukenbruck regarding a bill before the
Legislature regarding City assessing & Tax collecting.
The Clerk was instructed to write the S. P. R. R. Co. asking that Co. to deed the City of
Lodi that part of their property on Sacramento St. from Elm to Walnut St.
It was moved, seconded and carried that the Clerk purchase a suitable desk
