HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - February 8, 1909Public Hall, Lodi, California, Feb. 8, 1909 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant to adjournment of Feb. 1, the following members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich Absent: G. E. Lawrence and L. Villinger. Trustee J. M. Blodgett was chosen President Pro Tem. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The following applications for Building Permits read and approved. Appleton, J. M., Two Story Brick Bldg. for E. F. Nickel on W. Elm Street Freidburger, A. V., Corrugated Iron Bldg. back of W. Elm St. Rinfort, Bert, Frame Dwelling on W. Pine St. Joseph Perrin was granted permission to cut & remove a pine tree on W. Oak St. The following communications were read and filed: Hon. J. W. Stuckenbruck, City Clerk of Pleasanton, Los Gatos, Yuba City, Nevada City Tulare, Santa Cruz. Mr. J. M. Appleton stated that he had dirt to sell to the City. The Board expressed themselves as unwilling to pay anything except the cost of the excavating. The matter was left in the hands of the St. Supt. It was regularly moved and seconded that Ernest E. Ferdun, Esq. Be employed to represent the City in the case of The People Vs. Smith. Carried and so ordered. In regard to office fixtures the Clerk was instructed to outline what he thought was required and see what it could be built for in Lodi. The Board then adjourned. Attest: J. M. McMahon City Clerk 186
