HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - January 25, 1909Public Hall, Lodi, California, Jan. 25' 1909 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant to adjournment of Jan. 18, 1909, President G. E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. 0. Hale, C. A. Rich, and L. Villinger. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. A communication from the Japanese Association of L. A. W. was read and filed. A letter from E. I. Jones determining that the title to the Library Site should rest in the Board of Trustees of the City was read and filed. A petition asking for a St. Light at the corner of Sacramento & Walnut Streets was read and it was moved and seconded that a 32 c.p. St. light be placed at the corner of Sacramento and Walnut Streets. The motion was carried and it was so ordered. In Re: the Real Estate License B. F. Woodson, P. A. Brion, F. A. Dougherty, D. Z. Hawkins & J. C. Bewley recommended that the License be made per capita for office Real Estate Dealers of say, $5 each and that the License for those who do not maintain offices be $15 each. Marshal H. B. Coleman stated that they had another gambling case on hand and asked that the Board engage an attorney. He was instructed to take the matter up with Hon. E. I. Jones.
