HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - January 18, 1909Public Hall, Lodi, California, Jan 18, 1909 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular session, the following members being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich & L. Villinger. L. Villinger was unanimously elected president pro tem. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The application of Jacob Bietz for Permission to erect a Dwelling on Lot 18 of Block 5 Barnhart Tract was read and granted. The claim of Putnam Hdw. Co. of $3.10 for Castor Oil, having been OK'd by F. F. Ivey was allowed and ordered paid. Rev. W. P. Grant of the Library Board stated that the contract had been let to J. Lucas, Jr. for the construction of the Building: that the deed had been executed in favor of the board of Trustees of the City; that a certificate of search had been furnished. The matter of in whose name the deed to the lot should vest was then discussed, and the City Clerk was instructed to consult Judy & Jones on the matter. The Supt. of Streets H. B. Coleman, brought up a discussion of the handling of surface water on the streets. He was instructed to use his judgment and go ahead with such work as he may deem necessary. It was moved, seconded and carried that the Board adjourn to meet Monday evening, Jan, 25, 1909 182
