The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant
to adjournment of Jan. 4, 1909, President G. E. Lawrence presiding and the following
other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale and C. A. Rich.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
A letter form the Clerk of the Folsom Prison stating that they were unable to furnish work
for streets at present.
The following Applications for Building Permits were read and granted:
F. J. Beaty, Class A, Concrete Dwelling on Lot 8 of Block 1, Barnhart Tract
L. E. McClung, Dwelling for Sidelinger on Lot 10 of Block 7 E. Lodi Addition
G. E. Morgan to move Building on W. Elm Street
G. H. Jones, to move Building on W. Elm Street
B. F. Woodson, J. C. Brawley, C. C. Garner, and P. J. Brian spoke of the Realty Licenses
Advised a per capita License.
Ordinance No 36
Ordinance No. 36 Entitled, "An Ordinance Governing the Use of Bicycles on the Streets,
Sidewalks and Sidewalk Spaces," having been read and introduced and laid on the table
on Jan. 4, 1909 was read and placed on passage.
It was regularly moved by F. O. Hale and seconded by C. A. Rich that Ordinance no 36
be adopted as read. The motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, G. E. Lawrence, and C. A. Rich.
Noes: None
Absent: L. Villinger
A communication from the Corlles Obrien Co. in regard to the Sewer Matter was read
and filed.
The resignation of W. H. Thompson as a member of the Board of Library Trustees was
read, and on motion regularly made, seconded and carried, the resignation was accepted.
On Motion regularly made, seconded and carried, Geo. W. LeMoin was unanimously
elected a member of the Board of Library Trustees since W. H. Thompson resigned.
The board then adjourned
