Lawrence presiding and the following Applications for Building Permits were read and granted: The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. R. Squires, Cabin, Lot 3 of Block 4 A. B. Freid, Dwelling and Tank House Block 15 Barnhart Tract C. Sollars, Coal Shed, Lot 2 Block 19 Barnes & Son Carpenter Shop, Barnhart Tract Will Ray, Dwelling, Lot 3, Block 7, Barnhart Tract The following claims against the Squires, R. Nay, J. K. Lodi Sentinel Ivey, F. F. Coleman, H, B. McMahon, J. M. Colman, F. W. Colman, F. W. Breitenbucker, E. E. Hamilton, M. Williams, E. G. Beckman, Welch & Thompson Welch, H. E. Total Claims Allowed City were read and allowed: Services Fire Dept. Street Sweeping Printing & Publishing Street Sprinkling Salary 66 46 Fumigation Salary Night Watching Library Expenses Supplies, Fire Dept. Expenses, Fire Dept. 5.00 45.00 8.50 107.25 70.00 40.00 10.00 6.00 10.00 2.00 37.00 4.90 20.00 359.65 The Claim of Polk Husted Directory Co. Directory was rejected, the Board not desiring the book. J. D. Crose and F. J. Bowman, Trustees of the California Camp Meeting Ground Association appeared before the Board protesting against the assessment of any part of Lot 32 of the City of Lodi. The City Clerk read an affidavit and letter protesting against the assessment. Rev. W. P. Grant spoke of the plans of the Library Building and said they were now waiting for the deed to the lot. Chief Hillard E. Welch stated that the new hose had arrived and was in place. It was moved, seconded and carried that the Board do now adjourn to meet on Monday evening Nov. 9, 1908. Attest: J. M.
