The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in the regular session, President G.
E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: F. 0.
Hale, C. A. Rich, Leon Villinger. Absent: Jms. Blodgett
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The usual order of business was then dispensed with and F. E. Quail made a proposition
to the Board as follows, That he had 400 unmounted maps of the City and 100 mounted
maps, and that he would sell the entire number to the City for $250 which figure was
about the cost to him. The matter was taken under advisement.
The report of the Secretary of the Board of Library Trustees for the period from Dec. 1,
1907, June 30, 1908, was read and filed.
The report of City Marshal H. B. Coleman for the month of July was read and filed.
The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted:
F. G. Cary, a frame packing shed on Lot 8 of Block 10
F. H. Cordway to repair tank on Stockton St.
The following communications were read and filed
S. A. Kean, in re: Bonds
J. W. White, offering services in re: sewer matter.
J. B Coroden, offering sewer farm of 30 acres.
H. Willhite, offering services as Street Sweeper
F. H. Lee asked permission to erect a sign in front of the Opera House assuring the Board
that if he sign proved objectionable he would remove it. The request was granted, with
the provision that if any one objected the sign would be removed.
The following claims against the City were read, allowed and ordered paid:
