The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant
to adjournment of July 20, 1908, President Geo. E. Lawrence presiding and the following
other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich, and
Leon Villinger
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
DeWit Clary, Esq., representing the Central California Traction Co. was present and filed
an application of the Central California Traction Co. for permission to erect a frame
freight depot on Lot 1 of Block 24.
It was moved, seconded and carried that the permit be granted. So ordered.
The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted:
Daniel Wageman, Dwg. on Barnhart Tract
Snell Bros.,Dwg. for Mr. Hickey, West Elm St.
John Magemann, Barnhart Tract with the proviso that he put in stone flues.
Application of Harrison Braumack for appointment as Pound Master was read and it was
unanimously voted that Harrison Braumack be appointed Pound Master.
A communication was read and filed protesting against the granting of a permit to H. E.
Welch to erect a barn at the North end of School Street.
The Central California Traction Co. made application for a franchise to lay trackage into
block 24.
It was moved and seconded that the application of Central California Traction Co. for a
franchise and the proposed ordinance presented therewith be received and filed. The
motion was carried by the votes of J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich and Leon
Villinger. So ordered
No further business coming before the Board, adjournment was taken.
