The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in the adjourned regular session
pursuant to adjournment of July 10, 1908, President Geo. E. Lawrence presiding and the
following other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, C. A. Rich and L.
Villinger.
Absent: F. O. Hale
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The Application of H. A. Lee for permission to remove a frame shed from Lot 6 of Block
31
To Lot 2 of Block 42 was read and granted.
A communication from the Secretary of the League of California Municipalities
soliciting the member ship of Lodi in the League was read and filed and the Clerk was
instructed to make inquiries as to the by-laws, dues of the League.
A communication from the Lodi Voice Co. asking for a Saloon License at 21 N. Sac. St.
was read.
In the matter of the application of the Lodi Wine Co. for permission to conduct a Saloon
at 21 N. Sac. St., it was moved and seconded that it is the sense of the board of trustees of
the City of Lodi that no action be taken that would change the number of saloons during
the present Fiscal year.
The motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: J. M. Blodgett, G. E. Lawrence, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger.
Noes: None Absent: F. O. Hale.
No further business coming before the Board, the Board then adjourned.
