HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - July 10, 1908Public Hall, Lodi, California, July 10, 1908 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant to adjournment o July 7, 1908, President Geo. E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. a. Rich and L. Villinger. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. A letter form Geo. Harnage, agent for Mrs. E. Ennis, protesting against the granting of a franchise for a railroad track on S. Sac. St. was read and filed. Two additional petitions numerously signed protesting against the granting of said franchise were read and filed. The following letter was read: Stockton, July 10, 1908 To the Board of Trustees. Lodi, California Gentleman; Having made other arrangements for additional trackage in Lodi, I beg to withdraw the application recently made for a spur track franchise on Sacramento Street. Thanking you for your courtesy, I am, Yours very truly, S. B. McLenegan General Manager The letter withdrawing the application for a franchise having been read and filed, the Board declared the matter disposed of. The following claims were then read, allowed and ordered paid: Clary Bros., Water and Light, having been corrected and reduced to the extent of $4.30 - $419.80 Roar, Richard, Killing & Burying Glandered horse $5.00 Tuong Guen Shin, Refund of License $8.65 Total $433.45 It was moved, seconded and carried that the Board do now adjourn to reconvene on Monday evening, July 13, 1908.
