HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - July 7, 1908Public Hall, Lodi, California, July 7, 1908 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session, pursuant to adjournment of July 6, 1908, President Geo. E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger. The minutes of the meeting of July 6 were read and approved as read. The report of the City Marshal for the month of June was read, approved and filed. The report of the City Treasurer for the quarter ending June 30, 1908 was read, approved and filed. The report of the City Clerk for the quarter ending June 30, 1908 was read and approved and filed. The report of the City Clerk for the Fiscal year beginning July 1, 1907, and ending June 30, 1908, was read, approved and filed The following Applications for Building Permits were read and granted; D. W. Aronhalt, Dwelling on W. Locust St. J. M. Blakesley, Barn on e. Locust St. The following claims against the City were read, allowed, and ordered paid. Morgan & Johnson Refund on License 9.70 Smith & Bryant Lumber 8.50 Gordon & Correl Refund on License 11.00 Lee, F. H. Rent of Opera House 20.00 Cook, A. J. Frt. Labor & Drayage on Safe 11.95 Nay, J. Total Library Expense, June 39.45 Taking Levels 8.00 462.27 The claim of Sherman Clay Co. for a refund of $1.50 on License denied. The claim of Cary Bros. for water and lights was referred back for correction It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that a warrant be drawn in favor of 0. 0. Osborne for the sum of $2424 on the General fund to make the final payment on the Site of the Water & Light Plant (Lots 1, 2,& 3 of Larson's addition to Lodi), and that when the Bonds are sold the aforesaid sum be drawn from Municipal Improvement Fund No. 2 and placed in the General Fund. It was moved, seconded, and carried that a warrant be drawn on the General Fund in favor of W. H Lorenz for the sum of $9 to pay him the money advanced to make the final payment on the Site of the Sewer Plant, and that when the bonds are sold said sum be drawn from the Municipal Improvement Fund No. 1 and placed in the General Fund.
