The board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular session, President G. E.
Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: J. M.
Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich, and Leon Villinger.
The minutes of the meeting of June 29 were read and approved.
The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted:
Buell, C. L., to move and repair dwelling on Lot 65 of Bldg. 34
Folley, Jas.,dwelling of Lot 4 of Block 6 Barnhart Tract.
Tubbs, E. L., Dwelling on Lot 6 of Block 4
Waugh, A. A., Packing Shed on N 1/2 of Lots 3 & 4 of Block 31
Gen. S. B. Mc:Lenegan, manager of the Central California Traction Co., and DeWitt
Clary, Atty. of said Co. appeared before the Board and Mr. Clary spoke at length in favor
of granting the franchise for a track on S. Sac. St., to be property of West & Son.
Mr. Joe Downen, Dr. 0. 0. Osborne, Mrs. Elam & Mrs. Bandeen spoke against the
granting of the franchise.
The Matter was deferred to be taken up on Friday evening.
Mr. C. C. House, on behalf of the owners of the Barnhart Tract appeared before the
Board and offered a Plot of subdivision of Lot 122 of the Lodi Barnhart Tract for the
approval of the Board.
It was moved, seconded and carried that the plot of Subdivision of Lot 12 of Lodi
Barnhart Tract be approved and accepted. It was so ordered and President of the Board
of Trustees affixed his signature to the Plot, after which the City Clerk attested the same.
The matter of Claims and the matter of reports of officers was deferred till Tuesday
evening.
It was then moved, seconded, and carried that this Board do now adjourn to Tuesday
evening, July 7, 1908.
