HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - June 17, 1908Public Hall, Lodi, California, June 17, 1908 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant to adjournment of June 15, 1908. The following members of the board being present: Dr. J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich, and Leon Villinger. Absent: Geo E Lawrence. C. A. Rich was elected president Pro. Tem. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved The application of C. L. Van Buskirk for permission to erect a frame building on lots 3 & 4, Block 9, having been laid on the table was taken up and a motion was made and seconded that the permit be granted. The motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: J. M. Blodgett, Leon Villinger and C. A. Rich Noes: F. O. Hale Proposition of Sidewalks was taken up and discussed by the board. Engineer Graham was present with City grade map. He gave the information to the Board that there were thirty or forty benchmarks in different parts of the City. A motion was regularly made, seconded and carried that Mr. J. A. Graham be employed one day to find out the exact distance of Trance line grade above the street grade east and West of the Southern Pacific tracks and on Sacramento streets and make his report at the next meeting of the Board. The Clerk was instructed to communicate with John Perrott in regard to copying the assessment roll. No further business coming before the board, the Board then on motion regularly made, seconded and carried, adjourned to reconvene on Monday evening, June 2rd, 1908. Frank A.
