HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - June 1, 1908Public Hall, Lodi, California, June 1, 1908 The board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in regular session, the following Trustees being present: J. M. Blodgett, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger. Absent: G. E. Lawrence and F. O. Hale Trustee J. M. Blodgett was chosen president pro -tem The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Judge E. I. Jones was present, as was also Engineer H. H. Henderson. The report of City Marshal, H. B. Coleman, for the month of May was read, approved and ordered filed. The following Applications for Building Permits were read and granted: Sandberg, C. A., Dwelling in Barnhart Tract Christian Church, Addition to church Baurer, Jens, Dwelling on W. Locust St. The Application of J. H. Heid to construct a cement block factory on Lotl of Block 8 on Sacramento St. was laid on the table pending further information as to the location. Mr. W. H. Ferber, of the Cary Safe Co., appeared before the Board and made a proposition to sell the City a safe which proposition was taken under consideration by the Board. The following claims against the City were read and allowed and ordered paid: Young, W. A. Lodi Sentinel Shulze Bros. A. Carlisle & Co. Zimmerman, S. H. Ivey, F. F. Ivey, F. F. Breitenbucker, E. E. Coleman, H. B. Colman, F. W. McMahon, J. M. Elwell, C. E. Hall, Bert Squires, R. Freidberger, Joe Graham, R. L. & Co. Farnsworth, C. A. Williams, E. G. O. Osborne of $2424.00, the balance of the purchase price of lots 1-2-3 of Larson's addition to Lodi was read and it was moved, seconded and carried that the Claim be allowed but not paid till after July 1, 1908. The following claims were read and laid on the table: F. W. Colman, for fumigating M. Hamilton, services as Night Watch J. A. Graham, Setting Street Graces Wm. Lupton, Blacksmithing Wm. L. Lorenz, money advanced to pay for site of Septic Tanks 41.00 2.00 16.00 11.95 938.00 It was moved, seconded and carried that this Board do now adjourn to reconvene on June 8, 1908 Attest: J. M.
