HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - April 13, 1908Public Hall, Lodi, California, Apr. 13, 1908 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant to adjournment of Apr. 6, 1908, President Geo. E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members of the Board being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich, and Leon Villinger. The minutes of the meeting of Apr. 6, 1908 were read and approved as read. The following Application for Building Permits were read and granted: J. S. Mayginnes, Barn on Lot 8 of Block 2 Chas. Harman, Dwelling in Ayers & Pitchers Addition Ordinance No 32 Ordinance No. 32, Entitled, "An Ordinance Calling and Providing for a Special Election Submitting to the Qualified Voters of the City of Lodi the Proposition of Incurring a Municipal Indebtedness of Fifty Thousand Dollars for the Acquisition, Construction and Completion of a Sewer System with Sewer Plant in said City, and also the Proposition of Incurring an Indebtedness of Seventy Six Thousand Dollars for the Acquisition, Construction and Completion of a Combined Plant for Supplying Said City and Its Inhabitants with Water and Electric Light," having been read and introduced on Apr. 6, 1908, and laid on the table for not less than five days exclusive of the day of introduction, was read and placed on passage, and upon motion regularly made, seconded and carried the foregoing Ordinance No. 32 was passed and adopted by the :following vote: Ayes: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, G. E. Lawrence, C. A. Rich, and L. Villinger Noes: None Absent: None The report of the Board of Health for the year was read and filed. Resolution No. 15, having been read and introduced on Apr. 6, 1908 was read and adopted by the following vote; Ayes: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger Noes: None Absent: None The claim of E. E. Breitenbucker of $200 for money advance the City on the Site of the proposed sewer plant and water and Electric Light Plant was read and on motion regularly made, seconded and carried, the claim was allowed and ordered paid. F. H. Cordaway appeared before the Board and protested against certain parties dumping sewage on his property. H. Polensky claimed that the refuse from the winery was a menace to his health and comfort. 122 The above party was informed that the matter referred to was matter for the consideration of the Board of Health. Mrs. J. Millikan, W. P. Lancaster and others appeared before the board in reference to the matter of narrowing Pleasant Ave. No further business coming before the Board, the board then adjourned.
