The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in the regular session, President G.
E. Lawrence presiding and the following other members being present: J. M. Blodgett, F.
O. Hale, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
The following Applications for Building Permits were read and granted:
Mabel Wanshope, Tank House
Cary Bros. Substation, Lots 1 & 2 of block 12
Paul Koch, Dwelling, Hutchins Add.
E. G. Williams, Dwelling Lot 11 of Block 12
S. H. Williams, Jr. Dwelling Lot 23 of Block 4
The following Reports were read and approved:
City Marshal, for the month of March
City Pound Master for the month of March
City Treasurer for the Quarter ending March 31St
City Clerk for the quarter ending March 31St
Ordinance No 32 entitled, "An Ordinance Calling and Providing for a Special Election
Submitting to the Qualified voters of the City of Lodi the Proposition of Incurring a
Municipal Indebtedness of Fifty Thousand Dollars for the Acquisition Construction and
Completion of a Sewer System with Sewer Plant in said City, and Also a Proposition of
Incurring an Indebtedness of Seventy Six Thousand Dollars for the Acquisition,
Construction and Completion of a Combined Plant for Supplying said City and Its
Inhabitants both Water and Electric Light," was read and introduced for passage, and
upon motion regularly made, seconded and carried the foregoing Ordinance No. 32 was
laid on the table for a period of not less than five days exclusive of the day of
introduction.
Judge Jones advised the board that the cost of narrowing Pleasant Ave. would be about
$100.
The following claims against the City were read, allowed and ordered paid.

The claim of R. Pope of $1.25 for 1 fifth claim was laid on the table.
The following bids for Street Sprinkling were read:

Upon motion regularly made, seconded and carried the bid of F. F. Ivey was accepted.
It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the Claim of H. H. Henderson for
$1000 for Plans and Specifications for a Sewer System, and also the Claim of E. E.
Breitenbucker for $100 earnest money paid on the Site of the Sewer Plant, be paid out of
the General Fund of the City of Lodi, and that whenever the said City issue Bonds for
Sewage then the aforesaid amount of $1100 so paid out of the General Fund be replaced
in said General Fund by Transferring such an amount from the Sewer Fund. So ordered.
It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that the claim of H. H. Henderson for $650
for Plans and specifications for Water and Light Plant and the Claim of E. E.
Breitenbucker for $100 for Ernest money paid upon the site of the proposed Water and
Light Plant be paid out of the General Fund of the City of Lodi, and that, whenever the
said City issue bonds for a water and Light Plant then the aforesaid amount of $750 so
paid out of the General Fund be replaced in said General Fund by transferring such an
amount from the Water and Light Fund. So ordered.

Resolution No 15
The following Resolution was read and introduced for passage and adoption and upon
motion regularly made, seconded and carried the resolution was laid on the table for not
less than five days exclusion of the day of introduction.
Resolution No. 15:
Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi are abut to submit to the election of
said City two propositions calling for a bond issue, to wit:
One for a Sewer System and one for a Water and Electric Light Plant, and Whereas, if
such propositions carry, it will be necessary to secure a location for said Water and
Electric Light Plant, and a location for certain tanks necessary for said Sewer System,
now, therefore; Be it resolved: that the President and Clerk of said Board of Trustees are
hereby authorized and empowered to procure options and enter into contracts for the
same on sites suitable for said purposes, and they are further authorized to expend not to
exceed $200 in securing options on said sites, said options to run until after said bond
election.
No further business coming before the Board, it was regularly moved, seconded that this
Board do now adjourn to reconvene on Monday evening, April 13, 1908.
The motion was carried and so ordered.
