HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - February 10, 1908Public Hall, Lodi, California, Feb. 10, 1908 The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant to adjournment of Feb. 3, 1908, President Geo. E. Lawrence presiding, and the following Trustees being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, and C. A. Rich Absent: L. Villinger The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The Women's Improvement Club requested permission to plant palm and pepper trees along both sides of E. Walnut St. The request was granted. The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted: W. L. Henly, for Dwelling on Lots 1 or 2 of Block 11 Alvin Dixon, for dwelling on lot 4 of Block 4 L. A. Woodson, for dwelling on lot 2 of Block.9 Claim of F. W. Colman of $15 for fumigating having been laid on the table at the last meeting was taken up, read, allowed and ordered paid. H. M. Boden, Geo. H. Greenwell and E. E. Zreitbenbucker appeared before the Board and spoke in advocacy of a municipal Light and Water Plant. Mr. Boden stating that if 1/3 of the people took water and light from the City, that the net income to the City would be $12,000 per year. He said that C. E. Willard would make an estimate of the cost, etc. for 1% of the cost He said that Mr. Willard would be present at the next meeting of the Board and make an approximate estimate fee of cost. The matter was made a special order for the next Monday evening and Mr. Boden was requested to have Mr. Willard present. No further business coming before the Board, the Board then adjourned.
