The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session the following Trustees being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. H. Hale, C. A. Rich, and L. Villinger. Absent: Geo. E. Lawrence. C. A. Rich was elected President Pro -Tem. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. The following applications for Building Permits were read and granted: C. H. McDonald Feed Shed on S. Main St. J. M. Turner Dwelling, Barnhart Tract. Heich and Marklain Dwelling, Back Add. A. Libienthal Dwelling, Barnhart Tract. J. J. Williams Dwelling, Back Add. F. J. Beaty Move Barn in West Lane W. A. Young Dwelling Lot 6 of Block 7 Mr. J. J. Beaty & Co. asked the Board to take action toward the draining of the corner of Oak and School SSTs. Referred to the street Supt. Mr. C. E. Esselstyne stated that the Queen's Throne had been donated to the Lodi Board and that, through the good offices of the Woman's Improvement Club and others, the Railroad Co. had granted permission to place the Throne on the North Park providing that the stand was fixed up and put in proper shape. He asked if the Board could not take some action in the premises. The claim of W. S. Tracy for $5 for Blacksmithing was taken up and allowed for $4. St. Supt Coleman states that he desired that a Committee of the Board accompany him on a tour of inspection and advice upon St. work. Committee consisting of L. Villinger, F. O. Hale and J. M. Blodgett approved. The St. Supt. advised that the tree on Main St. Bet. Pine & Elm be removed as it was about 13 ft. out in the St. The matter was left in his hands. The City Clerk was instructed to communicate with Mr. S. B. McLenegan and request that his company proceed to do the work as he agreed with the Board.
