HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - January 20, 1908Public Hall, Lodi, California, Jan. 20,1908. The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in the regular session, Pres. Geo. E. Lawrence presiding and the following Trustees being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C.A. Rich, and L. Villinger. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Communication of the Chamber of Commerce of Roseville read, placed on file and a reply ordered. Applications for Building Permits were read and granted: A Marklean Dwelling, Lot 7 of Block 49 H. A. J. Kurtz Woodshed, Lot 21 of Block 2 Stephen Squires Driveway, Lot 8 Block 6 Student Body High School Bleacher, Lot 3 & 4, Block 9 Mrs. Frankie Kuhl Dwy., Lot 8 Block 47 F. A. Henning Lumber Shed, in Ayer's & Pitchers Add. Jms. Young Buggy Shed, Lot 5, Block 2 Chas, Derheim Dvy. Lot Org Block 12 Applications to remove trees were granted to H. N. Madison & Northern Hdw. Co. A Petition for a Bicycle path along Pine St. was read and a motion made, & seconded that the petition be granted providing the path be outside the twelve feet allowed for sidewalks. Carried and so ordered. Mr. A. V. Freidburger appeared before the Board and stated that he would need more time in order to comply with the ordinance regarding obstructions. He was informed that the Board had no power to grant it. A Petition asking for an Arc Light at the Cor. of Oak and Main St. was read. Mr. S. W. McCleary spoke in favor of the petition. It was regularly made, seconded and carried that a 32 c.p. light be placed in the center of the crossing of Oak and Main St. Chair Rich of the Committee appointed to pursue the water wagon asked for further time for his Committee, which was granted. No further business coming before the Board, the Board then on motion regularly made, seconded and carried, adjourned to reconvene on Monday evening, Jany. 27, 1908. Attest: J. M.
