The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session,
pursuant to adjournment of Sept. 9, 1907, President G. E. Lawrence presiding and the
following Trustees being present: L. Villinger, F. O. Hale, J. G. Blodgett and C. A. Rich.
The Minutes for the Meeting of Sep. 9 were read and approved as read.
The Application for the M. A. Brier Co., for a Permit to make improvements to their
Building at 106 N. Sacramento St. was read and granted.
A Communication from J. M. Eddy, Sec. Of the Stockton Chamber of Commerce
apprising the Board that the Stockton Chamber of Commerce had by unanimous vote
appropriated $500 to the city of Lodi to be used in defraying a portion of the Expenses of
the Tokay Carnival was read and placed on file and a suitable reply directed to be made
to the Same.
The following resolution was then introduced and adopted by unanimous votes:
"Resolved: that W. H. Lorenz, City Treasurer, is hereby designated and authorized to
receive and receipt for all moneys appropriated by Stockton Chamber of Commerce to
the City of Lodi to constitute a fund to be used in bearing a portion of the expenses of the
Tokay Carnival.
Done in adjourned regular session of the Board for Trustees of the City of Lodi, this lOt"
day of Sep. 1907.
