The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant
to adjournrnent of Sep. 1907, President G. E. Lawrence presiding and the following
Trustees being present: F. O. Hale, L. Villinger, J. M. Blodgett, & C. A. Rich.
The Minutes of the meeting of Sep. 3, 1907 were read and approved as read.
The Application of F. O. Hale, for a Permit to erect a storage room on Lot 3 of Block 2
was read and on motion regularly made, seconded and carried, the Permit was granted.
The Application of Geo. C. Putnam for a Permit to erect a Corrugated Iron workshop on
the alley back of 21 W. Pine St. was read and on motion regularly made, seconded and
carried, the Permit was granted.
The Claim of H. Brannack of $7.20 for Services as Pound master for the month of
August, having been laid on the table, was taken up and on motion regularly made,
seconded and carried, the Claim was allowed and ordered paid.
It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that a Committee of Two be appointed to
wait upon Cary Bros. and request them to keep fires banked and a man always on hand at
the waterworks during Carnival Time, and requesting them to raise the fire plugs at the
Cor. of Pine and Main St., and on the alley off Pine St. between Sacramento and School
St., and to paint all plugs white. Committee appointed J. M. Blodgett and F. 0. Hale.
The committee on City Map reported negotiations with W. G. Brown and were given
further time.
In regard to fireworks and Gambling during the Carnival, it was the sense of the Board
that the Ordinances relating to Fire Works and Gambling be strictly enforced.
The Board, then on motions regularly made, seconded and carried, adjourned to
reconvene on Tuesday, Sep. 10, 1907.
