The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi reconvened and adjourned regular session pursuant to adjournment of Sep. 2, 1907. President Lawrence presiding and the following Trustees being present: J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, C. A. Rich and L. Villinger. The minutes of the meeting of Sep.2, 1907 were read and approved as read. The Report of the City Marshal for the month of August was read and approved. The Report of the City Pound master for the month of August was read and approved. The following Claims against the City of Lodi were then read and on motions regularly made, seconded and carried, the same were allowed and ordered paid: Hoover, Ed. Labor 4.00 Bullock, Wm. Directory 4.00 Total Claims Allowed 488.07 The Claim of H. Brannack for Service for August, not being in regular form, was laid on the table. Application of Chas. Guggolz for a permit to erect a building on Lot 1 of Block 28 was read and granted. Ordinance No. 28 Entitled "An Ordinance requiring certain persons to clear the sidewalk spaces of weeds and rubbish," having been introduced and read on Aug. 26, 1907, and laid on the table for not less than five days exclusive of the day of introduction, was read 75 and placed on passage and on motion regularly made by L. Villinger and seconded by J. M. Blodgett, the aforesaid Ordinance No 28 was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: L. Villinger, J. M. Blodgett, F. O. Hale, and C. A. Rich. Noes; None Absent; None So ordered. Ordinance No 29, Entitled, "An Ordinance providing for notices of Municipal Elections and establishing election precincts and polling places," having been introduced and read on Aug. 26, 1907, and at that time laid on the table for not less than five days exclusive of the day of introduction, was read and placed on passage and on motion regularly made by J. M. Blodgett, seconded by L. Villinger, the aforesaid Ordinance No 29 was adopted by the following vote: Ayes; M. Blodgett, L. Villinger, F. O Hale, and C. A. Rich. Noes; None Absent; None So Ordered. Ordinance No 30, Entitled "An Ordinance Levying property taxes of the City of Lodi for the fiscal year of said City beginning July 1, 1908," Having been introduced and read on Aug 26, 1907 and at that time laid on the table for not less than five days exclusive of the day of introduction was read, and on motion regularly made by C.A. Rich, seconded by F. O. Hale, the aforesaid Ordinance No. 30 was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: C.A. Rich, W. O. Hale, J. M. Blodgett and L. Villinger. Noes: None. Absent: None. So Ordered The question of an official map for the City of Lodi was then taken up, and it was regularly moved by C. A. Rich, and seconded by J. M. Blodgett that a Committee of Two be appointed to consider the matter of an official Map and report to the Board at the next meeting. Carried and so ordered. The following committee was then appointed: C. A. Rich and F. O. Hale. Communication of the American Contractor Co. was read and the Clerk instructed to reply to same. No further business coming before the Board, the Board then on motion regularly made, seconded and carried, adjourned to reconvene on Sep. 9, 1907. Attest: J. M. McMahon City Clerk 76
