The Board of Trustees of the City of Lodi convened in adjourned regular session pursuant to adjournment of July 15,1907, President Lawrence presiding and the following Trustees being present: Blodgett, Hale, Rich and Villinger. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read. Application of Johnny Wallace for permit to maintain a Bootblack Stand on the inner two feet and four inches of the sidewalk in front of the Pioneer Barbershop on S. Sact. Street was read and referred to the Street Superintendent entered for a report. Application of W. R. Haney for a Building Permit read and on motion regularly made, seconded and carried, permit was granted. Application of Jms. F. Stein for a Building Permit read and on motion regularly made, seconded and carried, the same was granted. Application of F. G. Cary for building Permit read and on motion regularly made, seconded and carried the permits were granted. Application of F. C. Dooley, Manager of the United Harness Co. for permit to cut down a Locust tree in front of their store read and motion regularly made, seconded and carried. F. C. Dooley was granted permission to grub out said tree and remove the same from the streets. Proposed draft of Ordinance No 27 read and referred back to Atty. E. I. Jones for further information. The proposition of the amount of money which the Board would pledge for the support of a Carnegie Library was taken up and discussed, and made a special order for next Monday evening. No further business coming before the Board the Board then on motion regularly made seconded and carried adjourned to reconvene on Monday evening, July 29, 1907. Attest: J. M. McMahon City Clerk 68
